Extended Warranty Plan

Kingdom Appliances present the opportunity to add an extended two-year warranty to your item, surpassing the coverage period of one year provided by the manufacturer's warranty. This extended two-year warranty ensures the protection of your appliance through repair or replacement.

Our engineers conduct all repairs at our in-house test centre, and our After-Sales Team, based in the UK, are available five days a week from 8.30am to 5.00pm.

If your appliance cannot be repaired through this extended warranty, we will offer a replacement, providing a similar model in the absence of the exact one. The two-year extended warranty offers unlimited repairs, covering both parts & labour.

The pricing structure for the two-year extended warranty is as follows:

  • Appliances priced between £0 and £300: £79.99 for the extended 2-year warranty.
  • Appliances priced between £301 and £500: £99.99 for the extended 2-year warranty.
  • Appliances priced between £501 and £700: £109.99 for the extended 2-year warranty.
  • Appliances priced between £701 and £900: £119.99 for the extended 2-year warranty.
  • Appliances priced at £901 or more: £149.99 for the extended 2-year warranty.


The following are not covered by the extended 2-year warranty:

  • Disposal of the original product.
  • Costs incurred due to the inability to use the product.
  • Cosmetic and intentional damage.
  • Costs resulting from failure to follow manufacturer instructions.
  • Installation charges.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

It is vital that You thoroughly read these terms and conditions. These terms, in conjunction with Your warranty certificate and any notified changes during renewal or otherwise, constitute the agreement between us. We intend to rely on the terms and conditions outlined in this document.

Do note this extended warranty Plan does not qualify as an insurance product and is therefore not subject to insurance regulations. It is a contract of services governed by the laws and regulations of the United Kingdom concerning service contacts.


1. DEFINITIONS

Plan: Refers to this service contract.

Item(s): Denotes the appliance(s) covered by this Plan, as indicated on Your certificate.

We/Us/Our: Kingdom Appliances, the provider of the extended warranty Plan.

You/Your: Represents the individual named on Your certificate.

Your Certificate: The personalized portion of Your Plan documentation, issued upon the purchase of an extended warranty Plan.


2. WARRANTY PERIOD

The extended 2-year warranty will start after Your 1-year manufacturer warranty has ended. The start date of the extended warranty will be confirmed on Your certificate and the warranty will continue for a period of 24 months.


3. COST OF WARRANTY

The pricing structure for the two-year extended warranty is as follows:

  • Appliances priced between £0 and £300: £79.99 for the extended 2-year warranty.
  • Appliances priced between £301 and £500: £99.99 for the extended 2-year warranty.
  • Appliances priced between £501 and £700: £109.99 for the extended 2-year warranty.
  • Appliances priced between £701 and £900: £119.99 for the extended 2-year warranty.
  • Appliances priced at £901 or more: £149.99 for the extended 2-year warranty.


4. WHAT IS COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY

You are covered under this Plan for the repair or replacement of Your Item following a mechanical or electrical breakdown during the period of cover at the address on Your certificate.

In the first instance We will try to resolve the issues You are having with Your Item over the phone with troubleshooting. If it is not possible to resolve the problems with Item over the phone, we will arrange for the Item to be returned to our in-house Test Centre for inspection/repair.

The Item will be sent back to You after the repair work has been carried out.

In the event that Your Item cannot be repaired We will, at Our discretion, replace Your Item with a new or reconditioned appliance to the current market value of Your Item based on its age and condition. Any amounts over and above the current market value of Your Item required in order to obtain a new Item of the same or similar make and specification will have to be paid by You.

Alternatively, We may offer You a settlement in the form of vouchers or cash in line with the current market value of Your Item based on its age and condition.

All vouchers will be redeemable at a retailer of our choice and will remain valid for 12 months from the date of issuance. Voucher settlements will be sent to the last address You provided.


5. WHAT IS NOT COVERED

The following are excluded from the cover provided under this Plan:

  • Faults that arise from Your Item being tampered with by an unauthorised person or a non-manufacturer approved engineer.
  • Faults which arise from Your Item being modified in a manner which is not authorised by the manufacturer including but not limited to any upgrade or the addition of non-approved accessories.
  • Faults resulting from You failing to follow the operating and maintenance instructions of Your Item as per the manufacturer's guidelines.
  • Any fault or damage which has been caused, directly or indirectly, by faults with the domestic supply of electricity and/or gas and/or water.
  • Any fault or damage caused by any theft, attempted theft, malicious damage or damage
  • Any damage that happens after a repair request has been made due to the continued use of Your Item.

This Plan does not cover the following:

  • Routine maintenance, cleaning and servicing.
  • Installation & disconnection charges.
  • Items which have been taken outside of the United Kingdom.
  • Cosmetic damage which does not affect the use of Your Item.
  • Items that have not been installed properly.
  • Costs of rearranging missed collections with couriers when organising the collection of Your Item.
  • Costs of repairs We have not authorised.
  • Costs incurred for repeated call-outs without any fault found with Your Item.
  • Costs of losses arising from the inability to use the Item or incidental costs resulting from breakdown/repair.
  • Any Item not registered on Your Plan.
  • Damage to ceramic glass or glass surfaces.
  • Items which have been used for commercial or business use. Including use by charities, not-for-profit organisations, local government or similar entities (unless agreed upon in writing beforehand).


6. FORCE MAJEURE

If We are prevented from providing services under this Plan as a result of an unusual or unforeseeable event or circumstance beyond Our reasonable control (‘Force Majeure’), We shall not be in breach of this agreement. In such circumstances We shall be entitled to a reasonable extension of the time for performing such obligations, provided that if the period of delay or non-performance continues for one month, You may terminate this agreement by giving 14 days’ written notice to Us. Force Majeure events include, but are not limited to, industrial dispute, natural disaster, fire, flood, major adverse weather conditions, and failures of Our subcontractors to perform their obligations.


7. GENERAL CONDITIONS

  • The total fee of the two-year extended warranty, must be paid in full before the Plan begins.
  • You must provide us with any requested information during the Plan application process.
  • Your Item must be installed, maintained and used in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
  • You must be the owner of the Item and exclusively use it for domestic purposes.
  • You are responsible for ensuring the Item is easily accessible and disconnected in the event we need to collect it for inspection in our Test Centre.
  • You must provide us with all necessary information to validate Your repair request.

Failure to comply with the aforementioned conditions, eligibility requirements, or obligations will result in the termination of Your Plan. 


8. HOW TO REQUEST A REPAIR

To request a repair, please contact us promptly after discovering an issue with Your appliance.

9. IF YOUR ITEM IS REPLACED

If Your Item is replaced, the following will apply:

  • The original Item will become our property and we will handle its disposal.
  • Your Plan will be immediately terminated. 


10. HOW TO CANCEL YOUR PLAN

The ‘cooling off period’ lasts for 14 days from the receipt of Your documentation or the Plan start date, whichever is later.

If You change Your mind during this cooling off period, You can request a cancellation by calling our helpline or by notifying us via email at: sales@kingdomappliances.co.uk. We will refund any fees paid.


11. OUR RIGHT TO CANCEL YOUR PLAN AND TERMINATION OF YOUR PLAN

  • If You receive a replacement product (or a voucher settlement), Your Plan will automatically end.
  • In case of non-compliance with these terms and conditions, we may terminate Your Plan and cease providing further services.
  • We reserve the right to cancel Your Plan by providing 14 days’ notice. If we cancel Your Plan using this provision, You will receive a pro rata refund for the remaining unexpired days of Your Plan.
  • In all cases, we will confirm any cancellation or termination in writing to the last address Your provided.


12. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

We may amend these terms and conditions at any time. The most up-to-date version will be available on our website. If we make any changes that affect Your Plan, we will notify You in writing.

These terms and conditions were last updated on [07/06/2023].

We are committed to maintaining transparency and ensuring You are well-informed about any changes that may have a significant impact on Your rights or responsibilities. In the event of such changes, we will provide You with a written notice at least thirty (30) days in advance. The updated terms and conditions will come into effect on the specified date mentioned in the notice.

If You find Yourself in disagreement with the proposed changes, You have the option to cancel Your Plan by notifying us within the designated notice period. In such cases, we will promptly refund You a pro rata amount for any payments You have made for the remaining duration of Your Plan.
